Covid-19 Update

As New Zealand collectively responds to the current COVID-19 situation, I wanted to let you know what Rockgas Tauranga is doing to keep our people and customers safe during this time. We thank you in advance for working together with us.

What we are doing

We have increased our focus on good hygiene practices (including availability of hand sanitiser gels etc) and requested team members no longer shake hands, or hongi as a greeting in business or social situation. We ask that you always maintain a two (2) Metre distance from our people.

We are using remote access technology, which enables some of our administration staff to work from home, should that be required.

As an essential service, it is business as normal for us but we recommend you use the following methods to order your LPG and contact us:

We will answer your enquiry or log your order as soon as we are able.

If you do need to visit us as an essential utility service, rest assured our site is being cleaned to an even higher standard than normal, with industrial strength cleaners with site safe measures in place for the duration of Level 4 Lockdown phase.

What we ask of you

  • If you are feeling unwell, please don’t come into our Shop or Office now. As the Ministry of Health has advised, if people are unwell it’s best to stay at home
  • Please make use of the various ordering options above
  • When our Drivers call to your site to exchange cylinders, please keep your distance. We know that you all like to have a chat, but to ensure that we have sufficient people available to deliver to you and our other clients we ask that you keep your distance
  • We will be following Ministry of Health guidance about limiting physical contact such as handshakes and staying two metres apart from each other. We appreciate this might feel unusual at first, as handshakes are such a natural part of everyday Kiwi life, but this is another important step we can all do now.

Due to COVID19 issues, there is a potential for disruption of services. It could be that there are delays in deliveries or change of delivery days, depending on potential staff illness, supply issues or government instructions.

We recommend that you check your regulator on a regular basis and order your next cylinder as soon as your regulator shows Red.

Note: for hygiene purposes we will note be leaving paper delivery dockets on site on completion of deliveries. Should you require a delivery docket you can request this to be emailed to you.

The wellbeing of our customers and people is very important at Rockgas Tauranga so we thank you for your support.

This process will continue for the foreseeable future, so we are ready to act as long as the situation remains uncertain for us.

Finally, I can reassure you that we have not identified any supply issues for servicing customers and/or any business interruption to our regular operations at this stage. We are confident we can continue to meet the needs of our customers.
